How to change DNS settings on a Samsung Smart TV: step-by-step instructions

You can change your DNS settings to improve the internet connection on your Samsung Smart TV or to avoid geo-restrictions. This post gives a detailed description of how to do this.

  1. Go to “Settings”

To use the remote control, go to the “Settings” menu on your Samsung Smart TV.

  2. Find “Network Settings”

In the Settings menu, find and click “Network”.

  3. Select “Network status”

In the network menu, find and click on “Network Status”.

  4. Go to “IP Settings”

    Select “IP settings”.

  5. Select “DNS Setup”

    Next, select “DNS Setup”.

  6. Select “Enter manually”

You will be given two options: ‘Receive automatically’ and ‘Enter manually’. Select “Enter manually”.

  7. Enter Google DNS

You can now enter the Google DNS value, which is “8.8.8.8.8”, and click “OK”.

Good luck! Your Samsung Smart TV will now use Google DNS. This can help improve the speed and stability of your internet, and may also allow you to access certain content sources with regional restrictions.
